Here are two good strategies for leaning into your lazy. First, set an absurdly attainable goal. Want to do 50 pushups a day? Start with 2. Want to run a marathon, set a goal to walk 1 mile a week. Second, make it harder to NOT do the good thing. Leave your workout clothes ontop of the TV remote.
Why are you sooooo lazy? Actually, it's because you're built for it. You're only here because your ancestors were great at doing as little as possible and eating everything in sight.
The last few shoutouts this week have me thinking about how much of who we are socially is learned when we're young and seeking the attention of our caregivers (or possibly avoiding their attention?). So much to unpack. I'm really grateful to you all for the wonderful conversation this week.
