Shoutout to Sharon who mentioned the awesome 'habit stacking' technique. The takeaway this week is that you don't have to exhaust yourself trying to do and be everything all at once. Small steps, work with your existing habits to tweak and grow in small, achievable ways.
lean into lazy
Leaning into lazy is also about knowing your tendencies and coming up with creative, low friction ways to work with them. If you know you can be scattered, you can scold yourself for that or invest in strategies to keep you on task.
EVERYTHING counts. All efforts. Goals need not be monumental. Give your all? Maybe. Give SOMETHING - absolutely!
Here are two good strategies for leaning into your lazy. First, set an absurdly attainable goal. Want to do 50 pushups a day? Start with 2. Want to run a marathon, set a goal to walk 1 mile a week. Second, make it harder to NOT do the good thing. Leave your workout clothes ontop of the TV remote.
Why are you sooooo lazy? Actually, it's because you're built for it. You're only here because your ancestors were great at doing as little as possible and eating everything in sight.
