The most important (and most challenging) part of this week's homework is allowing for there to be nuance and grey areas in something that is very raw and emotional for most of us. Many of you were failed by your parents. But that's not the whole story. Many of you think the world of your parents. And that's also not the whole story. As adults, we are forced to admit that our parents are just people - messy, imperfect, and sometimes broken.
