Yesterday I asked what recharged and rejuvenated you, several of you had an immediate answer! I think it's really important to know what you need and how to deliver it to yourself.
Self-care doesn't necessarily mean a spa day or a mani/pedi. It means knowing what activities, people, places, music, food, etc make you feel re-energized, refreshed, and ready to face the world.
We are what we learn to be when we're young, once the foundation is set, we have to reinvent and rebuild ourselves as adults to shore up the cracks and push-back against the bad habits.
Great post from Connie on this topic about separating your ESSENTIAL self from the productivity self. It's easy to judge "how much you got done." but getting through your to-do list doesn't make you a better human being.
